Don't Drink and Drive!

The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department invites all borough residents to take advantage of a new free service provided by the Traffic Bureau. Lt. Wanamaker and Sgt. Minchin are certified child restraint technicians and will install and inspect all infant and child restraints. This service is provided free of charge by appointment only. To make an appointment contact Lt. Wanamaker or Sgt. Minchin at 201-652-1700.

Lloyd Road School Traffic

All drivers that drop off or pick up their children at the public school are required to follow the pick up/drop off signs in front of the school. They yellow curb and lines are for the immediate pick up/drop off of children. Vehicles are prohibited from parking in this area. Drivers are reminded to keep traffic moving so we don't have a back up onto Hollywood Ave.

Overnight Parking

Borough Ordinance (417:79-2C) prohibits overnight parking on all streets in the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus from 4:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. Permission to park overnight may be granted only under special circumstances. Circumstances include overnight guests, driveway construction, disabled vehicles, dumpsters in driveway. Permission will only be granted as an occasional courtesy to residents. If parking in the street is needed for an extended period of time the Chief of Police must grant permission. To receive permission for overnight parking contact the police department at 201-652-1700. There will be absolutely no permission for overnight parking when inclement weather is either in progress or expected, other arrangements must be made.

Parking

The police department is aware of the parking problem that exists in the central business district. We ask that all shoppers and merchants kindly pay attention to the time limit signs as posted. Thank you for your cooperation.
