Crime Prevention Notification

The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department is asking residents to reset their exterior lighting timers. People often forget to reset their timers when daylight savings time ends. For the past several years, Ho-Ho-Kus officers have been leaving reminder cards at residences that were found to have inadequate lighting or other conditions that may attract burglars. A significant increase in burglar activity usually occurs between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Attention residents:  The Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus has recently installed a lightning detection system for your safety.
This system will sound a horn, alerting you to lightning approaching the area within 5 miles of North Field and the LLoyd Rd School fields.
When the horn is activated you must cease all activities on the field and vacate the area to a safe location.
